Keep in mind, I am rating this slow cooker for what it is, and not for what it isn’t. The 5 star rating means it does everything well that it could by it’s simple design. It has the same basic outer shell, ceramic pot & glass lid as the more expensive multi-programable models. That said, it has a knob with “OFF, LOW, HIGH, WARM”, not even an indicator light to show that it is on. (Having 2 appliances plugged into the same receptacle, I almost unplugged the slow cooker instead the one I intended to unplug. With no “on indicator light” that could have been bad. 😉).That’s it folks. Our previous unit (more expensive) had multiple hour/heat combination settings. The big plus there & deficit here is the more expensive unit automatically switched to a keep warm setting after the number of desired cook hours were finished. This unit is totally manual. Again, a knob with OFF, LOW, HIGH, WARM. If you set this baby to low & leave for a week, your potroast will be cooking for a week. 😮. Therefore this unit would NOT be a good choice for the working folk that want to start dinner before leaving for the workday. Just keep all that in mind. Truthfully, even though it does what it is intended to do, I kinda regret not springing for the more expensive automatic unit.

It is beautiful product, the only small drawback for me is its heavy, not so heavy that I don’t use it, but washing I have to be very careful I don’t drop it. As I get older, 68 now I notice this, but it doesn’t deter me from using it, I love it.

I bought this to replace a smaller one that kept giving me problems with the digital buttons. This is a very nice crockpot for the price and I definitely like the manual knob on this one.

I have an old crockpot from 1994 that I’ve dragged to all the holidays and decided to upgrade to a new modern and bigger crockpot. Now I just have to put my name on it because everyone has this exact one at all our holiday get togethers

Chili for a couple families all in one pot. Nice keep warm setting, Easy control, Just one switch low high warm off. No electronics to fail. Ceramic insert is strong. I liked it so much I bought one for my daughter.

This is a great gift for someone who has a busy work/life schedule. This is a great product with precisely the right functions for cooking.

Had to replace a 20 year old crockpot. Technology has come along way! The size is perfect for larger cut of meats, have used it several times, cooks excellent every time, and it cleans much easier than older model.

Since I don’t use a slow cooker much did not want to spend too much money! This was inexpensive and works great!

I’ve been without a crackpot for awhile but needed to get one to bring enough kale soup to work for my crew. It worked well. Brought the soup to work cold, set it on the low temp and it was nice eating temperature by lunch time about 5 hours later. I have no tried the high cook setting yet and probably will just stick to low whether cooking or heating up. One thing about large crockpots (7 quarts or larger) is that in order for them to heat through the larger density of food the low and high settings will tend to be higher than on smaller pots. The drawback being that high can get too hot so slow cooking with a large capacity pot should be done almost exclusively done on the low setting. At least that’s been my experience with the past large crockpots I’ve owned.
