I’ve always had a problem with dry scalp that causes me to have flakes and itchiness if I don’t exfoliate and rinse my shampoo and conditioner thoroughly enough (I find that I get the best results by using T-sal Neutrogena shampoo, alternated with Neutrogena Healthy Scalp Soothe & Calm shampoo, combined with Neutrogena Healthy Scalp Smooth & Calm conditioner with tea tree oil). For some reason I had never thought about getting a scalp exfoliator/massager, but I recently decided to buy one and chose this one based on the good reviews and Amazon’s top recommendation. I have not been disappointed! It’s a nice looking product with a convenient loop for hanging on one of my suction hooks. Its easy to hold with the handle and I never find my hand slipping loose. It runs through my hair easily and doesn’t creat tangles, although I do have a pixie cut that would be too short to tangle anyway so I don’t know how it would work with long hair. It’s just the right level of firmness. Not so hard that I feel like I’m scratching up my scalp, but not so soft that it doesn’t feel like it’s actually loosening any dead skin. I can tell it’s really giving my scalp a good amount of exfoliation – much better than just using my fingernails. If I rinse very well after scrubbing, I find that I have little to no flakes and very little itchiness, which is an amazing new experience for me! I’ve always been self-conscious about making sure no flakes are showing in my hair (even though they’re there if you really part my hair and look at the scalp level). And it has always driven me crazy having so much itchiness when I’m trying to sleep and then I scratch my head and up getting flakes all over my black pillowcases (yuck!). Now I don’t have to deal with all of that anymore. It’s such a relief! Last but not least, it feels amazing to use! As soon as I start scrubbing (circular motions feel the best), it gives me shivers and feels like I’m getting a professional scalp massage! I absolutely love it and look forward to using it. I have a shower seat so that I can sit down while shaving my legs, so I’m able to just sit there and scrub my scalp for a long time and just relax and enjoy it. Overall, I would highly recommend this product and I’m so glad I purchased it!!!

I had brain surgery and have poor range of motion in my arms and also get exhausted really quickly. The shower is the hardest thing I have to do. I get so tired, especially washing my hair. My mom has to stand by as it is, but I’m finally able to do it myself. It’s just exhausting.I saw this on a buzzfeed “things you need to buy” type list and I thought I’d give it a try. I really like it. It does the scrubbing and distribution of bubbles for me. The nubbies are not super flexible so it can really scrub your scalp, I’d imagine, but I’m still sensitive so I kinda go lightly. Some reviews mentioned tangles, but I lift it from area to area so I haven’t found that to be an issue. Also, I thought for fun I’d try it on my cats and they all wanted to be next and they love the stupid thing so I had to get them one too. It doesn’t really deshed them but they like they little head massage lol. The life of a catmom, ya know?
I have extremely thick, long hair that was having an issue with build up with. Mostly on the back of my head where the hair is the thickest. I could scrub until my fingers were sore but my hair just never felt clean. I’ve heard of shampoo brushes before but was always skeptical because I thought it would tangle my hair. I’m so glad I bought it though. My scalp feels clean like I just left the salon. I don’t have build up/dandruff flakes anymore. My hair has more volume and just looks healthier.I don’t put my shampoo directly on the brush, I feel like it wouldn’t disperse properly. So I start with shampoo on my hands and work it around and then take the brush and in zig-zag lines work from the top of my head to the nape of my neck. Do not go in circular motions unless you have really short hair, you’ll just tangle your hair up.If you’re on the fence of getting one, please do.
I’m American born and raised in the beautiful East Coast state of Maryland. I’m an athlete in my 20s. I break s$&@ all the time. I’ve had a dandruff problem since I was in middle school. Everybody laughed at me and made fun of me and even my girlfriends would make fun of me. Piss me off and I’ve tried hair combs and scratching with my fingers and showering three times a day every day. The hair combs helped with removing dandruff more than scratching with my fingers and the shampoos helped for a time too. But the most comfortable and easiest method I found so far after many years of this dandruff problem has been this scrubber. Bro like wtf if I had known about this back in middle school I would’ve bought this and saved myself from some stupid embarrassment I’ll tell you that much. I bought one for my fiancé now because just like me she has a major dandruff problem and I don’t like seeing her cry. Seeing her cry pisses me off. So the shower I love her I bought one for her to so far I own two of these total. Are use the scrubber in the shower with soap shampoo whatever doesn’t matter this thing is made of good plastic and silicone. It is not made of the cheap plastic. I have bought a lot of stuff from China and I know the difference. Even if this product is made in China the people making it decided to spend the extra money using better plastic and the good silicone that bends. It’s rough enough to get rid of the dandruff I got but soft enough that it doesn’t make you bleed like a hair comb or scratching with your fingernails can do. This is the first review I’ve written in a couple years so if that means something to you there you go. My only recommendation is to make sure you get it back up because I lose things sometimes 😅
I love this thing. It’s so much easier to work product into your scalp and it feels great. It’s lightweight but doesn’t feel that cheap, and the spikes are soft enough that they don’t hurt but firm enough that they work really well. I have a lot of thick hair and this does the job. I’ll have to buy another since my boyfriend loves it so much he steals it from me every time we shower. Definitely recommend!
This does not need another 5 star review, but I’m writing one anyway. I thought the bristles seemed a little firm when I received it, but nope, they are perfect. Feels amazing on my scalp. It’s easy to hold and helped more evenly distribute my shampoo for a better wash, which can be difficult and tiring to do by hand with my thick wavy/curly hair. I’ve been meaning to buy one of these for years; why did I wait so long??

This was so soothing while using in the shower!! I tried to use it to lather my hair with shampoo and it worked pretty well, (although hands have always done a better job lmao 😜)! I recommend using this when using a hair mask to get really into those roots lmaoo!!
This works! I have very thick hair, and have begun wearing nail wraps. I typically scrub my scalp using my nails and decided that it probably wasn’t a good idea, particularly with the wraps. This does the trick. It distributes the shampoo, scrubs your scalp and feels good! So far so good.
Saw this recommended in some beauty products review article and thought I’d give it a try. Delivered promptly and well-packaged. Just used it for the first time today, so I can’t speak to any long-term results but it felt GREAT on my scalp while I was shampooing. Seems like a really good product, I’m glad I purchased it.
