This is the 3rd carton family I’ve ordered and they are by far the cutest. My girls love the hatchimal families. I feel like the carton give you more bang for your buck than the playdate or family house packs. However if you want a surprise you need to go with the smaller more expensive packs. You know exactly what you get with the cartons.

received entire duplicate set
We first purchased the shimmer babies set in January, and my daughter loved it. It came with a collector’s guide, so she wants to collect more of the shimmer babies. Today we purchased another shimmer babies carton from Amazon, and it was a same-day delivery (yay!)We expected the eggs in the carton to be randomized in order to be collected, as the guide in her first set suggests. This is how it is with other brands of blind-bag toys, so that’s what we expected with Hatchimals.My daughter noticed before opening the carton that the babies not in eggs were duplicates of the ones she received in her first set of shimmer babies. But, the only way to find out which characters were in the eggs was to hatch them. So, we did. Every single character was a duplicate of the first shimmer babies carton we bought. But, once the carton is opened and the eggs are hatched, they can’t be returned. There was no way for us to know the entire set would be duplicates without opening the eggs.So, I have a disappointed daughter, and I can’t say I’m too happy about a completely duplicate set that I can’t return. I don’t know any other way to collect the shimmer babies than to order this set, though. They don’t appear to be available in any other form than the carton we ordered.My advice if you have already purchased one carton of shimmer babies: if you purchase another carton, check the visible babies. If they are the same as the set you already have, return the carton without opening it. The entire set will apparently be the same. If the visible babies are different from the set you own, then I assume the babies in the eggs will be different also. You may want to try purchasing from another retailer instead of purchasing shimmer babies twice on Amazon. Or, just give up on trying to collect them, and choose an entirely different set of Hatchimals instead. (Wish I had done that, but too late.)I gave this product 3 stars because the actual toys are great, and my daughter loves her first set. I just wish the eggs in the cartons were randomized instead of being identical sets. One or two duplicate characters is to be expected but not an entire set.

Big Easter basket hit
Bought these on a whim for my daughter who loves small toys and they did not disappoint. Each character is really unique and brightly colored. She’s probably played with them every day since she got them for Easter. They’re also her favorite toys to bring along for car rides, and there are so many of them that it’s easy for her to share them with other kids she’s playing with.The only downside is how easy they can be to lose because of the small size. Also, the little wings on the back can sometimes break off easily. One character lost both of its wings within a week. But overall, I would still consider this a solid purchase.

Cute wolf set and functional container
This is a cute set and the container is more inventive and has more interactive play. The eggs sorter that fits on top is missing from my pic, but it does fit nicely on top. The bottom half open ups for extra play. Everything fits in to store for easy storage plus it can hold tons more hatchimals. The wolfs are cute but the wings seem to fall off easily on the big one.

Item arrived quickly and was as described. My 3 1/2 yo great-granddaughter lives Hatchimals and this one did not disappoint. She loves rubbing them until they hatch and collecting them. Great for gift-giving as well.

I don’t have kids myself but I do have many nieces/nephews that I watch on a very regular basis. For that reason, I like to have toys around for them. I’m usually not one to buy a lot of ‘plastic’ stuff as I moreso prefer the creativity/art type items but hatchimals is one thing that I really like.Pros:- Everyone likes a mystery. Even as an adult, it’s so fun for me to see what pops out of these mystery eggs!- I’ve found that these work awesome as a reward system. I give the kids the non-mystery items to play with. If they all get along/share/etc, they get to open a mystery egg for the day. It makes them excited to come to aunties house too because ‘she has all the cool toys’! Haha!Cons:- Some of the pieces are just really small and they get lost so easily. I have a robot vacuum and from time to time, I know some pieces get sucked up.Overall it’s a cute little toy that will provide hours of fun for kiddos. The pieces can easily be used with other toys as well. Mine like to use them with building blocks. They build zoos/houses/etc for the hatchimals! Let their imagination run wild! 🙂

Surprisingly fun
So my 7yo daughter loves hatchimals. They keep her entertained for hours. She plays house with them, plays with her barbies and the hatchimals. The egg crate is a nice little home for the animals. Fun for hours.

I like these better than the older egg cartons of Hatchimals. With those, you never knew if you would be hatching a bunch of Hatchimals that you already own. With this, you know which family you are getting. Kids still have the fun of cracking the eggs. 🙂 I also love that these come inside a self-contained play set. This is a really fun toy!PLEASE NOTE: This toy does contain small pieces, choking hazards for younger kids.

My 8-year-old is totally obsessed with Hatchimals. She loves the surprise toys and was so excited to receive this. These were as cute as ever and the little case is just awesome. I think half of the fun is the actual hatching process and the baby wolves were just the icing on the cake for her. Overall, these along with all other Hatchimal toys are wonderful gifts. I’d definitely recommend them!

Wolf family
The wolf family is precious. Usually the sets I have bought my granddaughter were a mix of animals. These are all wolves of various styles and shapes. Some of them are pretty small and naturally she says those are the babies. The egg carton is an excellent option for storage as well as play. The materials are well made and they are comparable to other sets I have bought in the past. I don’t know that I would know they were wolves if it wasn’t being marketed as a wolf set. They are cute but they have a dog/cat/fox look to them in my opinion. This is a sweet set though and the wolves have integrated nicely with her other Hatchimals to create one big happy family.

My niece loves these darn things and didn’t have any of the wolf stuff yet. I like that this set has a play area but also the storagey part in the carton since this is a toy that stays at Aunties house so I can easily have her put them all away neatly before she leaves.

4 that arent in eggs
My kids favorite thing about Hatchimals is opening eggs. The fact that four of these come without eggs is super disappointing. I bought two sets of these so there could be a Hatchimals and each favor for a hatchable birthday party. I basically couldn’t use eight of them. If they weren’t so expensive it would not have bothered me so much.

Wolf family fun!
My daughter absolutely adores Hatchimals! So handing her this carton made her squeal with joy and rushed to the nearest table to hatch all her new precious babies. She was super excited about the super tiny little babies that came with the set and their little adorable wings.I on the other hand do wish a couple things have been different about the set. For one I would’ve loved for the cardboard insert that forms the colorful backdrop of the bottom piece behind the carousel to have actually been a sticker or glued onto the container itself because as a loose piece of cardboard we all know that will be lost, ripped or broken within just a few weeks of playing by anything but the most gentle child . I also wish there had been a few stickers or something to break up the pink on, pink on, pink color that made it hard to distinguish what different areas of the set we’re supposed to be for. Overall, I feel like this is an amazing value for the price and definitely will get plenty of hours of play, I just felt like it could’ve used a little more improvement and wasn’t quite the quality of some of the other amazing hatchimals toys we’ve seen.

Hatchimals with stage and storage container
This comes with 6 eggs to Hatch plus 5 figurines outside of those 6 eggs, plus the storage container that has a circular stage in the lower portion and a living room type feel on the top removable level.The eggs were a little difficult for my 3 year old to open; the top half is crumbly and gets tossed after opening. The bottoms of the eggs are hard plastic and hold 1-2 tiny figures.

This is one of the cuter sets I have seen and they do I’ll go together like a family instead of being a random assortment from the same seriesThese are the actual named brand hatchemal’s not a knock off or a generic and the value is fantastic i said the size is usually a little more pricey at the stores around me at least so i think this was a great dealThey all had cute little wings or accessory attachments and it was basically a family of flying pink and purple wolves which both of my children loved and they were so cute i was a little jealous and wanted to keep some for myselfThis would make a fantastic birthday present christmas gift or just any time present to any kid who loves Toys like this My five year old son loves them almost as much as my ten year old daughter so a lot of kids can have fun and stretch their imagination playing with theseMost of these are quite small so keep that mind if purchasing for younger chil choking hazards and even that individual eggs they come in break into smaller pieces sometimes if you don’t get a clean break along the perforated line so be cautious of thatDefinitely a fun little set though and a good value and i am super happy i ordered these both of the kids love it

Good Take-Along Toy
These might not be an adult’s favorite toy (because of the small pieces), but our five year old loves anything Hatchimals. This wolf family play set is fun and self-contained. It includes ten Hatchimals and an amusement park themed setting. Cracking open eggs is always the highlight of any Hatchimal—these wolves are cute additions. Even though the pieces are small, this makes a good take-along toy for us; it’s great for office waits or sitting through sibling sporting events, and packs up nicely when we’re ready to leave. The sets also spark imaginations—a better option than mindless electronic gadgetry.

They make the cutest toys now days. These surprise toys are my kids favorites. They love this little egg carton. Each egg is easy enough to open up, though I did have to demonstrate how to with the first egg. It does make a bit of a mess with the cracked egg but easy enough clean up. The bottom half of the egg can be kept for each figure to sit in in the egg carton or tossed and the figure could sit in it itself. Super cute. Carton is easily to close and stays closed. Great toy

This is a nice little set of toys for little ones. This is the first set of Hatchimals toys my daughter tried so it was a new experience for her. She loved cracking the eggs as the material was hard enough to maintain shape but soft enough to press and crumble with her fingers. The case inside has a rotating base where you put the base of the eggs to twirl the little Hatchimals around, but she was bummed that its just the base and not the whole egg. If it had an inner layer that cracked but outer layer that still let you close them back into eggs, I think this would have so much more use. After the toys are out, its just a bunch of little toys in a plastic egg carton. They’re still nice but a little pricey for how tony they are in the end.
