It’s good they have this in stocks. But the price is crazy.

    Worked for sensitive tummy

My little one doesn’t have an allergy but he was having very bad digestive issues with other formula. This one allows him to digest easily. So glad we tried it.

    Better than powder

I love this ready to feed. He still doesn’t like it cold cold (straight from the fridge), but it can be left out for two hours before being tossed. I will take it out the fridge and fill a bottle for when he’s ready for it. He doesn’t need it to be room temp, but still doesn’t like it straight from the fridge. It’s easier than mixing messy powder, which is unavailable nowadays. The price is good too. He drinks one of these a day.

Beware: some babies could be allergic!

My son was on Nutrimigen from Late December to March and had eczema become so bad that he had weeping sores all over his body. We tried everything. He seemed to like this formula so we didn’t think it was the formula making him have such bad eczema but eventually he got hospitalized because he lost weight – he was constantly scratching and was burning more calories than taking in – and we had to buy special things to keep him from scratching himself to the point of bleeding. In the hospital they changed his formula and it cleared up. As soon as we tried feeding him the Nutrimigen again to see if he liked it better than what they tried to give him, it flared up again.Even though it says hypoallergenic doesn’t mean it is for every baby! If you notice any skin rashes please try something else if you know that your baby didn’t have a problem prior to this formula.

    Bought as a gift

I sent this to my best friends daughter for her little one. They were having trouble finding it in this shortage. Momma was crying when she got it. She said it was easy to fill the bottles even with the baby in her arms.

    An absolute life saver.

My wife and I had all kinds of issues with our baby when we first brought her home. Whether we had her on breast milk or formula, she was continually vomiting after eating. Not only was she vomiting, but she was incredibly uncomfortable. After every feeding she would squirm and cry, and there would be audible rumbling from her stomach. We saw the doctor several times about the problem and had two different medications prescribed. One did nothing, and the other helped only minimally. It mitigated the squirming, crying, and belly noises, but did nothing to help with the vomiting. One night we were at the end of our rope, and I went and bought some Nutramigen. It is formulated for babies with an allergy to cow’s milk (although we are still not entirely sure that is her issue).Man…this stuff made a difference. Her vomiting stopped almost immediately. She showed no signs of the previous discomfort, and was able to eat and gain weight like she should. She is now six months old, and has been on Nutramigen for around the last four months or so. This stuff was truly a lifesaver for us.Nutramigen is significantly more expensive than most conventional formula, so I would not recommend it unless it is truly needed. If it is, though, it is worth every penny. We have also heard from the doctor that a lot of babies do not like the taste of it and will not eat it, but we have not had that issue at all. As always with something like this, your doctor’s advice is much more important that that of a reviewer on Amazon. If your baby is suffering with any of the issues ours was, it may be something you should mention to them. Also, our doctor’s office worked with us on trying to get our insurance to cover the cost of the formula. Our insurance company would not cover it unless there had actually been a test done showing an allergy to milk, but this may also be something to look into if you find yourself needing to switch to Nutramigen.

Grossly overpriced, undesirable taste…..but it works! Worth it…I guess??

My baby was never diagnosed with colic or a milk allergy but my gut instinct told me that his crying at night and gas issues werent normal. He was basically living off gas drops, GRIPE water and Friday “Windi” tools. It was getting ridiculous. So I decided after buying 4 different kinds of low lactose/sensitive stomach formulas that I was finally gonna go for the big guns. Well first off, lets talk about taste. I haven’t taste it myself but the smell compared to his other formula is something that I knew he wasnt going to like. In fact, he looked at me like I betrayed him the first time I gave it to him. Secondly, the cost. Most formula I have bought is around $20 a container…. This is $40. So to make it stretch longer, I mix it 1:1 with his old formula during the day and give it to him straight at night. Mind you, I also breastfeed when possible. Lastly, it def makes his BM a lot more liquidity. Like we are talking the “hershey squirts”. Now did it work for him in regards to his fussiness and gas? Absolutely! Night and day difference. He is almost 6 weeks old and he used to wake up 2-3 times at night kicking his legs and crying. Now he sleeps on average 6- 7 hours uninterrupted with no indication of discomfort. I also made a notation that his eczema on his cheeks is clearing up significantly ( he has been using this formula for approx 4 days now). My biggest issue? The cost. It probably cost the manufacturer less then $4.00 a can to make. In other words, they are taking some serious advantage of desperate parents. Not cool Enfamil. Not cool. FYI- Their “rewards program” for this formula is a joke. It saves you like a few bucks a tin. So like what? 10 %? That’s less then my state tax! Im still gonna hunt around for a cheaper alternative because I can not afford $80 every 2 weeks…. At least thats how much it would cost me to exclusively feed this formula to him. (1 can a week).

  14. Amazon Customer

You must try this formula if your baby has eczema

I am the biggest customer in Amazon which means I buy many many things through Amazon, but I have never ever written any kind of review (maybe my husband did some with this id but not me). However, I am writing this review to help some parents who are probably going through one of the hardest time due to baby eczema. Ater finishing breast feeding in about three months after giving birth to my son, I started with Similac, but my baby always spitted up. And my biggest concern for spitting up had risen and changed to Similac Sensitive. But he still spitted up. Then I started this formula, and my baby amazingly stopped spiting up in about one month after changing from Similac to Earth Best. However, at the same time his eczema started all over his face. It got worsen and worsen, and there were nothing that cured the severity of his skin condition. I used almost every lotion and ointment from so many different brands. And I always used the humidifier in the livilng room and our bed room. Also, we had changed all our clothes and my baby’s clothes with 100% cotton. We changed our baby’s laundary detergent to the one with organic natural ingredients. Plus, we did not use any soap or body wash when we washed him. And we kept the temperature of our house always around 68F, and I wore him thin clothes because he seemed to get too hot. What I figured out about his problem with the eczema was..1) his feet were icy cold 2) he had constipation. My old pediatrician said that there was any connection between his formula and eczema. But after we changed to the new pediatrician who had more knowledge about the eczema, she introduced us the formula, Nutramigen. Again, I am not a worker for the Nutramigen. Seriously, I am a person who regards my time so preciously. But I am writng this for the parents having baby with eczema. I am not saying here that the Earth Best soley had triggered my baby have eczema. But, you never know some ingredients or at least one little ingredient they had put in your formula could cause the fever inside of his body. My baby’s face and body were always too hot, but his feet were icy cold, ALWAYS (which means his circulation system was somewhat gone wrong). But, one week after we had canged our formula to Nutramigen, his feet temperature miraculously became normal, and his constipation has been gone. I also put some Olive Oil (100% pure virgin) and Aquaphor in 3:1 ratio on his skin every time whenever his skins got dry. Try nutrimigen if you are skeptical about your formula that you have been feeding your baby and if you once had thought that your formula has caused your baby’s eczema. Mom’s intuition can’t be wrong.

Natramigen is great but ready made…ehhh

Let me first say that I am not going to knock this formula at all! This formula has been a life saver to us. Our son’s little tummy wouldn’t agree with my breastmilk, none of the gentle formula’s or soy formulas. The doctor said to try a probiotic then if that didn’t work she would have us try this or alimuntem, well we went out on our own and after a comparison of the two I decided that we were going to try to Nutramigen. OMG, it works! No more, screaming, no more going through bottles of gas medicine, no more bouts of crying fits. Our baby was just a happy little 1.5 month old and we have been so grateful since then (he’s now 5 months). Now…this is my first time purchasing the ready to feed formula, I did so ONLY because it was such an amazing deal at $23 for the 6 pack which turns out to be 48 4oz bottles vs the can we normally buy for $51 which is 49 4oz bottles pretty significant savings. Anyway, I thought I am going to be so spoiled with this ready made formula. Boy was I WRONG! Once you open it, it needs to be refrigerated and warming up a cold bottle is such a pain and lengthy process especially in the middle of night. So much so, that we went out and purchased another can for his middle of the night feedings. (I have a Baby Brezza water warmer so I don’t deal with warming the water, just add the formula and keep it moving). Also, I realized that if we want to go out we will need to have powder formula because once you open the bottle you have to refrigerate and unless you plan to keep it on ice, that’s a total waste. The fact that you have 48 hours to use it doesn’t make a difference to me because he’s drinking 5-6oz at a time and we can definitely use the whole bottle in that window.

    Not a fan but needed

My little one has a dairy allergy and I had to resort to desperate measures with the formula shortage and get this for her as this was not disgustingly overpriced like the powder version. She hates it and shoves the bottle away to the point of tossing it on the floor. Now I am stuck with bottles of this that I cannot return or exchange for powder.

    Solved my baby’s digestion issues

My six week old had blood in his diaper and was grunting from discomfort all day and night. I was breastfeeding and subsequently cut out dairy and soy from my diet Ten days later, he was still grunting. The pediatrician recommended Alimentum, but it proved to be too thick for my baby who had a hard time swallowing it. The grunting and discomfort continued. We then tried Nutramigen (liquid), and within a few days, my baby stopped grunting altogether, started sleeping more and becoming happier. If your baby is experiencing grunting or digestive discomfort when they are trying to pass gas (or in our case, all the time), then this may be the formula for you. While many people said “he’ll grow out of it,” I knew that something was off and have seen a 180 degree difference. I’m so grateful that he feels better!

    It Works!!

I used this for my daughter 35 years ago! Then it smelled and tasted like boiled shoe leather! She didn’t care! She liked it! Her colic was so bad and it made a HUGE difference!!We now have a granddaughter who also had colic! The smell and taste are much better! We warmed the formula up until we found out she liked the small bottles at room temperature. Now that she is teething she actually prefers the bottles cold! That makes it easy for night feedings and travel! This formula has been a lifesaver!!Would recommend even if your infant doesn’t have colic!

    Horrific ingredients.

Unfortunately, I have to buy this formula because my baby was unable to tolerate other formulas and I don’t produce enough milk. For the price people are paying for this, it should be a crime for these companies to use such cheap and unhealthy ingredients. Corn syrup solids and soybean oil? Enfamil is using industrial waste products and making billions of dollars. Like most multi-billion dollar companies, they are profiting off of need and desperation. Unfortunately, some infants cannot tolerate regular cow’s milk formulas. For them, the options in the US are Enfamil and Similac, two monopolizing companies that prioritize profit over quality. If you seriously think this stuff costs as much as it does because more effort goes into making it and the ingredients are difficult to obtain, you’re extremely naive. It costs this much because people are willing to pay for it out of NEED. The way this thing smells should tell you everything you need to know about the product: toxic. I feel bad that I have to feed this to my baby and that I have no better options. I’m only giving this two stars because it stops the crying and colic of infants with cow’s milk allergies who have no choice but to consume it, as there are no alternatives on the market. In the meanwhile, I’ll be attempting to optimize milk production. Both Enfamil and Similac really need to do better and stop being so greedy. On a positive note, I did call Enfamil to verify the authenticity of the product sold here. I was concerned due to the reviews suggesting possible inauthentic or bad products. The Enfamil rep stated that it’s authentic and authorized to buy from here.

My babies wouldn’t drink it. I tried it… I gagged immediately. It’s so gross. (Yes, I’ve tasted a few formulas.) we just went back to our gerber and manage the side effects, they’re not life threatening side effects. I’m sorry, I have nothing to recommend other than trying a single bottle first before buying two cases… like I did smh. Amazon doesn’t accept grocery returns unless it’s damaged. No, I didn’t lie to get my money back lol. Just out the money:/

great product, but be aware of purchasing online

My infant has been on hypoallergenic formula from birth since being born prematurely, she had a hard time digesting regular formula. These are usually 2-3 times more expensive than regular formula. Ailmentum and Nutramigen both work great, but the challenge has been trying to find the product during the national shortage, which seems to be worse for these specialized formulas. Of the two, only Nutramigen has powder form available at this time. Powder works great for when we have to run errands or travel, since the formula can be stored dry and not refrigerated. I was so happy to find these cans available on amazon! But my only reservation is the poor delivery and packaging. Two of the six cans were damaged when opened. This adds another layer of stress and frustration with the formula shortage battle we’re all facing.

    Great for allergies!!!

My baby was spitting up all the time. And I mean ALL THE TIME. It was annoying because everyone kept saying “yeah, but that’s just what babies do, they spit up”.Duh! I know babies spit up. But not like this!!Because she spit up constantly, she was having trouble gaining weight. We tried all the things. We tried burping her better, burping in different positions, giving her less milk but more frequent feedings, and reflux medicine. After going on several diets myself to try and rule out allergies, we finally switched to this formula and it’s been a game changer!! She spits up way less and is finally gaining weight!Allergies in infants isn’t talked about enough and I’m glad that after 3 months of trying everything under the sun we finally found this formula. It’s well worth every penny.

Great formula for infants with milk protein allergy

This is the only formula my infant son is able to consume due to the milk protein allergy he has. When I first switched him to it from breastmilk, he took a few minutes to tolerate the taste. Also, he has never had colics with this formula. Only downsidebto this formula is the cost as it is pricey and the strong smell it produces when it turns into spit up or burp. Of all the formulas, this has to be the worse smelling one once it is consumed.

  46. rubylucille

    Made a world of difference

I self diagnosed my son with Milk/Soy Protein Intolerance(MSPI) at 4 months. He was on Axid and Prevacid and was still a miserable, screaming, vomiting, eczema-covered mess. He did not have the typical blood in his stool that MSPI is known for, so the first doctor did not diagnose it. I read an awesome book by a pediatric GI that explained that blood and mucous in the stool are not required. I put him on this and saw an improvement in all of his symptoms within less than a week (usually 2 weeks are required for formula switches). This stuff literally changed my son’s life. I took off one star because it would be nice to have another source of carbohydrate other than corn syrup. I know Similac Allimentum uses Tapioca startch, but I don’t like that it also uses sucrose, which caused me to pick this. YES is smells like gym socks. NO my son did not care, he went to town on it like he hadn’t been fed in weeks. It does cause looser stools, so if your child is prone to that anyway, it will take a little time for his/her system to adjust. My son was constipated all the time, and this actually helped with that (which also helps with reflux). If reflux meds are not doing enough, please try this. MSPI and reflux have similar symptoms and 40+% of reflux babies also have MSPI, much higher than the general population. GOOD LUCK!! Also, while Amazon Subscribe and Save is the best deal you can get when purchasing directly (anywhere, even with coupons), if you get a diagnosis of MSPI from an MD, your health insurance may partially pay for this formula under your durable medical equipment clause. I got a prescription for it and have to go through a third party equipment company to order it and they send it to me directly. It saves me about 2/3 of the total cost.

    Didn’t work for us.

We’ve tried many formulas. With all the positive reviews I’ve read online we bought this one hoping it would work. It worked for about two weeks and then we noticed our 6 week old was spitting up like crazy and became even fussier. He would scream after ever feeding on this. We stopped using it and have noticed a change for the better since switching.

    Helped with terrible colic!

Our baby would scream and scream due to constipation and trouble with gas. We switched to this formula from Enfamil NeuroPro GentleEase after reading the reviews. It’s expensive but we were desperate. It has worked wonders! She still gets a bit fussy but within 1-2 days her gas was better and she slept more and within a week she was pooping once a day (instead of every 2-3 days). Worth the price if you have a colicky baby!

5 things to know before you buy…

Unfortunately, we had to introduce this formula to our daughter due to a milk protein allergy. I was nervous to do so because she’s vomited all day long due to other formulas we attempted to introduce for supplementation. A few things people should know:1. Yes this formula does stink. That is due to the proteins being hydrolyzed so the infants can tolerate them. But she doesn’t seem to mind.2. This does not work right away. To fully know if the baby will tolerate the formula they need to be on it for a minimum of two weeks. I thought this was going to be an overnight fix, but it requires some patients.3. Your baby’s poop will smell. The formula itself smells bad and the baby’s poop smells even worse coming out. Might as well get used to it. It’s been a few weeks and I still gag.4. This formula is pricy, but that’s due to the fact it requires more work to be made than your standard formulas. It is what it is.5. My daughter did a 180 on this formula. I now have a very happy, laughing, and comfortable 4 month old. I don’t regret the change from breast milk.

The only formula we can use

My son was colic and had allergies to other formulas. After we gave him Nutramigen he was a different baby. His colic went away, he was happier and he slept through the night. It’s stinky and makes for rough diapers but it worth it!

    Damaged

Not about product itself, but I received these and the outer seals were all slashed! The box itself was not slashed, but was open on one side. So tells me it was not a “accident slash through thr packaging”. This is just an FYI to all… if you receive it like this, do not use them. Call Amazon and enfamil to report.

The can was missing half the milk ..

My son was taking Similac Alimentum but they had a recall. So his doctor said for him to use this one now.

    You never know…

I have ordered a case twice. The first one was entirely fine. Anyone who is getting a busted case…thats your delivery people, people. Blame them. Mine have always been in tact. BUT… the second case, idk whats wrong with it, its way before the expiration date, but its yellowish and smells way worse than it alrdy usually does. The texture looks slightly different too. 🙁 also- My baby had projectile vomited twice today. I’m worried. Like I said, the 1st case was fine, so I ordered it again (its hard to find in stock at target) but this batch i feel like something is wrong. Like another individual said recently, spoiled or something. So, you never know. Imo, you’re taking a gamble by ordering here.

Great for milk allergy babies, but wish they sold some without Enflora

After many many months of breastfeeding and keeping a dairy free diet (not easy!), I finally started supplementing with Nutramigen and eventually switched over to all formula. The first time I used it, I was horrified by the smell and was worried my baby wouldn’t accept it. But I guess it doesn’t taste bad, because he didn’t have any problem with it. His stomach didn’t tolerate the Similac version, so we introduced Nutramigen VERY slowly (mixed small amounts into pumped breast milk, literally increasing by 1/2 ounce every couple days). He did great with the Nutramigen, so I was really glad we didn’t have to go to the more expensive elemental formula. However, I do wish Enfamil still sold a version without the Enflora probiotics. While I love the idea of probiotics, I don’t like the fact that you are not supposed to heat up this formula. My picky baby insists upon a very warm bottle, so this isn’t an option for us. I tried and tried and he wouldn’t take it room temperature. Plus, the filtered water we use is refridgerator cold, so logistically it was hard for us to even get to a room termperature bottle. I use bottled water sometimes, but I generally prefer to use the filtered tap which in our house is very cold So the problem is that heat kills probiotics. I spent a lot of time on the phone with the Enfamil people, and they say that even though they don’t recommend heating the bottle, there wouldn’t be anything harmful by killing the probiotics and serving that to my baby. However, it would still make me feel better if I could just get a version without probiotics that I can heat.

This Saved Our Baby’s Life! 3 Yrs Later She Still Wants To Drink This!

I breastfed my youngest daughter for first 4 mos. of her life until I was not producing enough milk for her appetite so we started formula. She broke out immediately into a severe allergic reaction with the first use of formula that required a trip to the ER, two Benadryl shots, one Epi shot, and two steroid shots later. Apparently, she was and still is, allergic to cow’s milk so the only thing she could drink other than my breastmilk was Nutramigen. We mixed it slowly little by little with my breatmilk until finally when she was one yr old, she was completely on Nutramigen. She had absolutely no side effects or allergic reactions but still got her protein and grew quite well over the years. Three yrs later and she is still drinking it! She does not like the almond milk, or coconut milk we tried and she’s allergic to soy so we still give her this formula. I’ve asked my daughter recently if she likes the taste of it, and she said yes. I guess she’s so used to the taste. Well, eventually we have to move onto something else but she still has a severe allergy to milk protein so until then, Nutramigen is her fav drink. She prefers it over apple juice even! It has been costly over the years but I believe it saved her because without my breatmilk, there was nothing else she could stand. Btw, we did try the similar version but she did have a bit of a reaction to that.

If you can get it while on sale and not damaged…

I have been purchasing this for my little guy for almost 8 months now… until the recent last 2 orders, everything has been fine. The last 2 orders have both been damaged and unable to use. This stuff is way too expensive to keep buying for it to come damaged and then I am having to run to the store to purchase it for more. Thankfully Amazon has been great with this but just a heads up to anyone else looking to purchase this, CHECK YOUR FORMULA THE MOMENT YOU GET IT! Check that the can is tight and there isn’t any give! If you can get it while it’s cheaper and the cans are undamaged, it’s great!

    Lifesaver for all parties involved

Around 3 weeks, our little guy started having a really difficult time digesting anything we gave him: breast milk, Similac, Enfamil, Gerber. We tried all of their sensitive formulas as well and nothing helped him! He would scream for hours trying pass everything. It was torture for everyone involved. Being first-time parents, we thought it was just colic and that’s what we had to deal with. My sister-in-law told me about this formula and she said my niece was a different baby after using it.She wasn’t wrong! Within the first 2-3 feedings, the screaming had stopped and my son was able to pass everything through his body without any issues. We’re not 100% if he had a lactose intolerance or milk allergy as of yet, but this formula has helped him so much! He seems to like it, too! It was an easy switch to make!Just a small note to buyers: it does have an interesting smell. And it will clump up if you don’t mix it well. Otherwise, it’s a fantastic product; highly recommend if your little one is struggling with other formulas or colic!
