I like that this 6-pack has rolls with full cases, not the open-back style seen in the stores sometimes.Other than that, if you know Magic Tape, there’s nothing more to be said.If you don’t know Magic Tape, be aware it was invented to be invisible on paper gift wrap, where shiny cellophane tape reflected the light and spoiled the effect. So it’s designed to be fairly easy to remove, but to hold until then.

I was a bit worried after reading all the 1-star reviews complaining that the plastic (not metal) serrated dispenser edge didn’t work well for tearing off strips of tape. But the plastic serrated edge on the dispensers I received worked fine. The dispensers come with small 18-yard rolls of Scotch Magic tape, not the bigger 27.7-yard roll you get when you buy a replacement roll in its own box.

Overall useful and good value. The adhesion is good, so of course that makes removal a bit harder. That’s a normal tradeoff I would think, between adhesion and ease of removal, and I think this product hits that tradeoff between adhesion and ease of removal about right. If it were easier to remove it would be a post-it! If anything, this tape could have a little quicker adhesion. This tape is not super clear, and is matte, not glossy finish.I hope this is useful information for you 🙂

I used this tape to wrap metallic gift wrapping paper so it can look smooth and it was easy to remove of this type of wrapping paper
